I visited the Winchester Mystery House in San Jose.

They, too had a few coin-operated amusements.

There was lots of stained glass.

Many of the steps were shallow risers.

The house has lots of architecturally-unusual elements. For example, they built a window into the floor.

The same window, looking up from below.

If you look carefully at the parts that aren't reflections, you can see that they built this window facing the back of a wall.

The house was built by a crazy, rich widow.

This door just opens to nowhere.

You'd just fall from the second story.

Finally, this round dome is actually a movie theater. It was next to the Mystery House.

Goodbye, San Francisco.
